Mathias Thorshaug Rengård works within several areas of law, but his main focus is on tort law and family, inheritance, and probate law. He has a significant number of litigation assignments before the courts.

Mathias works extensively with cases involving children and assists many parents in drafting parental cooperation agreements following separation and in parental disputes before the courts. He has particular expertise in cases with an international dimension, where specific issues of jurisdiction, choice of law, and the application of international conventions arise. Typical examples are child abduction cases, cases where the parents live in different countries, and the enforcement of agreements/decisions across national borders.

Mathias assists with matters such as inheritance settlements, drafting wills, and powers of attorney. He also works regularly with estate administrators on behalf of Oslo District Court in the public administration of estates. Within tort law, Mathias specializes in personal injury compensation. He handles all types of personal injury cases and often acts as legal counsel.
