What does the guide contain?

Why this guide?
The board of co-owners and housing cooperatives has a significant responsibility for managing and maintaining common areas and buildings – both for the well-being of residents and to maintain the value of the property. This involves entering into agreements with suppliers, handling projects correctly, and prioritizing the most urgent matters.
Our experience shows that many boards lack sufficient expertise in the implementation of maintenance and construction projects. The guide has therefore been designed as a practical aid for boards without specialized knowledge in this area. It is based on the most important and common questions we encounter in our consulting work.
Limitations – and opportunities
Although the guide covers a lot of ground, it naturally cannot provide answers to every possible issue. If you have questions that are not addressed, please feel free to contact us. Your question may be answered in the next edition of the guide.
For some, the guide may be too comprehensive. We plan to create a smaller and lighter guide, and in the meantime, we rely on the words of wisdom from Ivar Asen:

Claims against the developer
Chapter 9 deals with claims against developers. This is not necessarily part of a construction project initiated by the board itself, but issues related to new construction or takeover from developers are so closely related that we have chosen to include it.
